Alexander and Irene Miller collection, 1760-1970.

The Alexander and Irene Miller Collection mainly concerns the early history of Glens Falls, Queensbury, and Moreau prior to the Civil War, particularly early settlers, businesses, and buildings. In addition, much information is provided on the history of schools and education in Glens Falls and Queensbury. Types of materials in the Miller Collection include handwritten maps, pamphlets and magazine articles, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, photographs, memorabilia, manuscripts, notes on historical topics written or collected by the Millers, and transcriptions of documents describing the early history of the Glens Falls area. Finally there are papers concerning Adirondack Community College and Crandall Library from Alexander Miller's service on the Board of Trustees of both institutions, along with a Garden Club album of Irene Miller.
